What is a VI Peel?

How Are VI Peels Made? VI Peels are made from several types of skin-safe acids and chemicals. Some of these chemicals include trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and vitamin C. When applied to the skin, it breaks down the outer dermis and reveals the fresh skin beneath. The Vitality Institute created VI Peels to help address several varieties of age degradation. This peel uses acids and medically approved chemicals to break down the outer layer of skin (epidermis). Some of the ingredients used to make this peel include the following:

  1. 10-12% of phenol

  2. 10-12% of trichloroacetic acid (TCA)

How is a VI Peel Different From Other Peels? VI Peels are medium-grade chemical peels. They're different from deep chemical peels, which cut through the epidermis and deeper into the lower skin levels. VI peels are relatively painless and effective compared to older, less effective skin peels. VI Peels are similar to other chemical peels used by applying a chemical serum to peel the epidermis. However, they do differ in several ways, including:
